In 2011 the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) was launched for commercial purposes, designed for industry, business and the public sector.

How The RHI Works
The finalised tariff levels have now been released by the Department for Energy and Climate Change. These figure are:
- Air Source Heat Pumps: 7.3p/kWh
- Ground Source Heat Pumps: 18.8p/kWh
- Solar Thermal: 19.2p/kWh
This is great news for home owners. Not only will they be benefit from dramatically reduced energy bills, but also from a quarterly payment for every kilowatt of renewable energy generated. Eligibility
If your renewable heating source was installed since 15th July 2009, or you intend to install presently, then you will be eligible for payments. The Renewable Heat Incentive has replaced the Renewable Heat Premium Payment.
